The Energy Psychology philosophy holds that problems you face cause blockages or inefficiencies in your body’s bioelectrical energy system. This approach helps you understand the connection between your body and mind, and how it affects your wellbeing.
Clinical Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT or Tapping) helps you release emotional intensity, corrects your energy flow and clears ‘mind fog’ that many clients experience. EFT shares similarities to both acupressure and hypnotherapy in that techniques involve tapping on meridian or acupressure points while focusing on different aspects of your problem, without having to apply needles or induce trance-like states. Results are usually immediate and most often highly effective.
EFT is a skill you can use at any time for self-soothing or stress relief. It is particularly helpful if you suffer anxiety, depression, trauma or stress related symptoms.
Sensorimotor Psychotherapy is a method that integrates sensorimotor (body) processing with cognitive and emotional processing in the treatment of trauma. This method is especially beneficial in working with people experiencing dissociation, emotional reactivity or flat affect, frozen states or hyperarousal and other Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) symptoms.
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)
CBT is a practical and conversational therapy often used with other mental wellness techniques. CBT helps you manage specific problems by correcting irrational or negative thinking and behaviour. In CBT sessions, Marie involves you in the process. Marie asks you to practice skills between sessions to reinforce new ways of thinking and behaving for better outcomes in work, home and social situations.
Visualisation & Guided imagery
Visualisation is a practice by which you can deliberately change the way you feel, your level of autonomic arousal, and your behaviour. It can be used for relaxation, to improve performance, reduce fears and phobias, and to improve the functioning of the immune system. Guided five senses visualization tends to lead to more powerful and richer imagery for greater results.
