Does the golden full life evade you? What’s holding you back? Are you awake to yourself?
The one person you can’t get away from is yourself. Befriend, nurture, have compassion for and keep your relationship with yourself intact.
Who do I see when I look in the mirror?
When I look in the mirror, have I really seen myself, and sat with my feelings long enough to feel them and ask what they are trying to tell me? Whose voice is inside of me? Where did that come from? What do I avoid? What am I hungry for? What shames and blames (the pervasive toxic twins!) was I raised with and continue to hold onto? Am I worthy? Do I deserve a golden full life? If I cheat on nurturing and loving myself, I end up with something akin to emotional anorexia. I might be saying my life is full but when if I stop to really look inside myself all I’ve been eating is crumbs and I’m starving myself of what I need most.
Awakening, accountability, compassion, strength and love. Adulthood is the time to awaken to and work through the programming that was learnt in childhood that no longer serves you well as an adult.
Expose the hunger
Unresolved issues about myself, my family, my culture… is the primitive hunger that needs to be fed before we can move on with freedom to live who we truly are and can be. Cause we’re human the truth hurts yet it never killed anyone and makes people stronger. And times of challenge are the opportunities for greatest growth. Once your truth is accepted it magically seems to switch on courage and hope and turns on a light showing a way not seen before.
Do or die
While we evade the truth about ourselves, we continue to inflict wounds on either ourselves and others or both. And life continues to hit us with the lessons needed to be learned until we do or die from not doing.
Let your heart sing loudly
Everyone has his or her own tune to sing and only you will know when it sounds right. Your heart will sing, your energy will lift and amazing things will happen. Your unique tune resides within you waiting to be sung. Do not fear, rather embrace for all to hear. To start singing once you’ve cleared the way, the starting notes are always the same to wholesome fullness: LOVE, COMPASSION, STRENGTH and FORGIVENESS for yourself and others. How wonderful the world would be if we dared to sing our truth and let our awesomeness shine to inspire and feed others in need.
Finally Emotional Freedom Techniques or tapping as it’s commonly called, is gaining global recognition and finally entering mainstream healthcare as an evidence based and highly effective (simple to learn) technique to alleviate stress. Hooray!
If you’ve not had the chance to try it, I highly recommend you do with a professional as this way you’re sure to learn it correctly and remove blockages quicker. EFT can be used on pretty much anything (anxiety, depression, every day stress, exam pressure, performance enhancement, relationship issues, trauma, post traumatic stress…) and practiced yourself whenever you want to ‘shift crap’ that causes blockages in your energy system. Unless these blockages are removed they sit like ‘sludge’ in your cells and continue to damage them and prevent your energy from flowing freely.
No one lives well with blocked energy. It is our life force.
People often present to me with ‘sick cells’ that have manifested outwards in physical ways such as migraines, excessive weight, sore back or neck, tight shoulders, pain in the stomach, IBS, CFS, fibromyalgia and so on. The two most prevalent culprits of sick cells seem to be emotional dis-stress and limiting beliefs and/or living or working in an environment in which one does not feel safe and secure. Cells usually become ‘sick’ over a period of time (unless traumatised which is instant) so this ‘sickening of cells’ can sneak up on people because they get used to a declining way of living. Sometimes people only find out they’ve got cancer when their system manifests a debilitating symptom such as being overly tired or in pain that cannot be ignored any longer. So take notice of what’s happening in your body or emotions that may be conflicted and stronger than usual or getting in the way of you thinking clearly. Or if your relationships are troubling you and you’re not sure what to do, tapping is worth a try.
I use EFT with many of my clients as part of my work with them to attend to all sorts of presenting issues and symptoms from headaches to more serious mental health and/or physical health issues like cancer with usually profound effect.
